I created lessons incorporating art and technology.
This is a video that I created to begin my painting unit with my classes. It is targeted towards the elementary level, focusing on color mixing, primary colors, and secondary colors.

Overview
of Lesson
This
is an interdisciplinary lesson based on the book by Eric Carle’s "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". This lesson focuses on the students’ exploration of watercolors,
papermaking, and collage. The students will be learning how to work with
watercolors creating their own hand-painted paper. The students will begin the lesson by watching a video that I created on the author and illustrator, Eric Carle. The students will be using
their hand-painted paper to create a caterpillar inspired by Eric
Carle’s "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".
Objectives
- Students will learn techniques on how to use watercolor.
- Students will be able to explore and experiment with their watercolor.
- Students will learn techniques on how to collage.
- Students will learn about Eric Carle.
- Students will be able to build upon their motor skills.
Title: What Do You See Collage
Grade Level: 1st Grade
Overview of Lesson
This is a one-day interdisciplinary lesson based on
the book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr and illustration by Eric Carle. The lesson will begin by watch a video I created on Eric Carle. The teacher will then read the book to
the students. After reading the book, the students will be using the SMART Board to learn how to draw an
animal from the book. The teacher will show the students how to draw the animals using simple geometric shapes on the SMART Board. The students
will analyze the animal and identify the shapes within the animal. The students will be creating a collage using geometric shapes of an animal from the book.

Overview
of Lesson
This
lesson is inspired by Henri Matisse’s artworks. The students will begin the lesson by using an interactive PowerPoint presentation focusing on Henri Matisse. The students will be creating a
collage based on Henri Matisse’s Beasts
of the Sea. This lesson will build on the students’ prior knowledge of warm
and cool colors. It will also build on their knowledge of geometric shapes and
organic shapes.
